Well, with a little help from the beautiful America Ferrera, that is. Oh, and her makeup artist Nick Barose. (Although Nick has long been one of our favorite Hollywood makeup pros, after seeing his series of magnificent looks on Lupita Nyong’o over the past year, we have a whole new reverence.) So what’s the perfect spring lipstick shade of which I speak? Take a look.
For a Tribeca Film Festival party this week, Nick gave America fresh sun-kissed skin and sexy bronze smoky eyes. “The look called for a more monochromatic lip that was not too bright but not too washed out either,” he says. His pick: Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer in Bitter Sweet, part of the brand’s new limited-edition collection of shimmering neutrals for spring. “It’s a fun spring color—brown sepia tone with a hint of red—that looks pretty but not too precious,” he says. “It’s good if you want a deeper color for spring/summer that’s not too heavy, like burgundy or plum.”
I wonder if this would be such perfection on my own lips, given my paler skintone? I’m going to have to try it out and see!
Would you wear this Tom Ford color this spring? Anyone have a similar one they’re loving lately?
